Take The Day Off

January 11, 2018

We are less than 2 weeks back into the new year and I have already had to take a day off, just for my body to recharge.

Since I have a laptop and a camera now I’ve really put all my effort into this blog,  running my other social media accounts, doing RED January and a pile of other stuff away from the online world. I had been on the go everyday so I decided Monday night that I needed to take Tuesday off.

I woke up at 8am (which is a sleep in) but I couldn’t physically get out of bed and actually fell back to sleep till 1pm. My body was completely worn out, though it was a nice change to be worn out from work and exercise than being worn out from depression.

When I eventually did get up, I just took the day easy, I think the most strenuous thing I did was fill the Tassimo with water and put a pod in to make a coffee!

Though I took the day off, it did give me time to actually work out blog posts, recipes and Patreon photos and posts. It didn’t really feel like work though because I did it in my Beauty and The Beast pjs.

The only time I left the house was to go by ingredients for my Spinach and Goats Cheese Stuffed Chicken. Which you can find HERE.

I had an early night as was fully recharged for Wednesday morning.

I know a lot of people roll their eyes at the thought of a recharge day but between struggling with mental illness and trying to push myself in every aspect of my life this year, I found a “Recharge Day” to be extremely beneficially to me both physically and mentally.

You need a recharge day? Take one, and fuck what people think.

I hate taking days off but realize it is necessary especially when you know you need it. Great entry my friend!
