I spend a lot of time cooking for my family and sometimes when making a big meal you have to use about 70 different sauce pans on 4 hobs…. may be a slight exaggeration. You get what I mean. This recipe however is a super […]
About a week ago I decided to finally start my own indoor vegetable garden.
I was in Aldi and saw they had the propagater ventilation set with compost and seeds, I had always wanted to try it but never decided to go ahead with it.
I bought the grow your own kit for €4.99 and then went to Mr Price for more seeds and a small herb cage.
I started off with Roma Tomatoes, Cherry Tomatoes, Lettuce, Cayenne Pepper and Coriander.
I just transplanted the cherry tomatoes today, I probably should have done it a day or two ago but I’m a complete noob so this is pretty much plant and try not to kill too many things right now.
The roma tomatoes and cayenne peppers are ready to be transplanted as well which I’m gonna do tomorrow cuz I am so tired that I’ll fall over if I lift a plant pot!
Have planted some jalapenos, habaneros, asparagus, thyme, basil, and rosemary indoors as well. I bought a walk in greenhouse and planted some flowers, aubergine, courgettes, pumpkin, carrots, sweet peppers and potatoes that I’m also gonna try and give a go.
Honestly I think maybe 2% of what I plant might grow and if it does I’ll be delighted. It’s just a bit of fun.
I’ll keep you updated with how it goes ♥
As my time with antidepressants is coming to an end and the battle with depression is over (Spoiler: I won). I decided to reflect on talking about mental illness online. I wrote my first post about depression on February 16th, 2017. Which you can read […]
This post is inspired by a comment I received on Friday.
If you read my last blog post ‘Attitude Adjustment‘ you will see that I have been learning a less fucks given approach to my life. One thing I have noticed is how many fucks people give about what I do.
I’m choosing not to wait for life to randomly bring me happiness, I’m going out there and making happy moments. Life is short, if we’re waiting for happiness to come to us, we’re gonna find ourselves wading through mountains of shit to try and get it.
The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place… and I don´t care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it.
If I choose to find ways of making myself happy, why do you give a fuck how I do it?
Why aren’t you focusing on your own happiness instead of ridiculing mine?
Why are you letting life take a shit on you?
These are my questions to the people who thought it was “sad” and “pathetic” that I had fun and threw my gorgeous dog a little birthday party. Yeah, it might be silly but everyone had fun and we made happy memories, isn’t that whats important?
Party hats and pupcakes
The reason I wanted to write this post was to say to people, go do some shit that makes you fucking happy. Throw your dog a birthday party if you want! Fuck, throw yourself a party if you want! Get some cake, prosecco and some jams. Don’t wait for life. Go out there and make your own fun. Well, just once your fun isn’t murdering people…. maybe go kill some hookers in GTA instead.
Don’t let anyone tell you that what brings you joy is “sad” or “pathetic”. Those are the people who are sitting at home wading through the shit waiting for a moment to come to them while you’re out there creating your moments.
So I know I haven’t really spoken much about my own mental health this year. If you have been following me since I started this blog, you will have seen the ups and downs I’ve gone through. Last year was tough, I lost friends, suffered […]
Hey guys, pup had another vet visit today so thought I’d update you all on how he’s doing. If you haven’t read the first blog you can find it here . I honestly thought there wouldn’t be much weight loss as with the Beast From The […]
To be honest, I am not a morning person so I really can’t be arsed making food in the morning. I decided to put this bake together to last a few days so I can just grab it out of the fridge after my cardio.
Ingredients: (Serves 8)
8 Asparagus Tips
8 Cherry Tomatoes
60ml Unsweetened Almond Milk
30g Feta Cheese
Salt and Pepper
In a bowl add your 10 eggs, almond milk and salt and pepper, and mix well. I don’t have a whisk… or I do and have lost it. I mixed it altogether with a fork.
Take your cherry tomatoes and asparagus tips and cut them in half.
Pour the contents of your mixing bowl into a baking dish.
Add in your cherry tomatoes and asparagus.
Crumble feta cheese on top.
Pop into the oven at 200 degrees for 30 – 35 minutes

So while going stir crazy with The Beast From The East and Storm Emma having our road snowed over, I decided to have an at home pamper day. I had recently purchased some Lush bath bombs, I never take baths, I am a shower person […]
