Vegetarianism Update

Vegetarianism Update

I have spent since 7pm last night trying to upload a video with no success so decided just to blog instead. Yesterday was day 14 with no meat and I had to throw in the towel.
My body is drained right now, I have zero energy. We’ve had some really nice weather the past few days and all I’ve wanted to do was rest. Right now, I’m honestly the sickest I’ve been in over a year.

One of the other deciding factors for me to quit the vegetarian diet is the inability to hit my calorie goal. I’m on 1,400 calories a day, which is pretty average amount. I have to eat my body weight in food to hit that. 98% of the days I was coming up short by over 250 calories. I found it impossible to hit my protein goal as well. My macros are 33% across the board. The highest I was hitting with the veggie diet was about 15% and I was taking a protein supplement as well.

I’m eating my weight in spinach, chickpeas, soy, lentils and shit over here and I am not close to reaching my daily protein goals. I’m eating so many chickpeas and beans and shit, I’m gonna turn into a fucking bean!

The carbohydrates in the veggie diet is unreal as well. It’s so fucking high in carbs! As someone who tracks my macros and calories, this ain’t for me.

I have come across some really nice vegetarian foods, so I will lower my meat consumption but I’m not quitting it completely. I tried it out, it didn’t work for me.
